Giant cosmetics Estée Lauder jumped on the bandwagon of hyaluronic acid with the launch of its high-end "Perfectionist" skin care products, CP + Serum Corrector and concentrated correction for lip lines .
In recent months, several beauty products containing hyaluronic acid (also known as HA) have flooded the market, from vitamin supplements to injections. With its "Perfectionist" moisturizing skin treatments Estée Lauder is the latest to validate the beautifying effects of hyaluronic acid on your skin.
Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in human skin and is capable of containing 1000 times its own weight of water. Although the amount of HA in the skin decreases with age, supplementation with the body's natural supply may help to compensate for the visible signs of aging. The protein acts as an "instant facial wash", preserving essential moisture in the layers of the skin to reduce wrinkles caused by dehydration and aging.
The cosmetic industry continues to debate the type of treatment with hyaluronic acid that is the best. As injection procedures continue to increase, in 2004, 882,469 were performed in the United States alone. Many beauty enthusiasts are turning to less invasive HA treatments. At the top of the pack, Estée Lauder says its "perfectionist" skin products visually improve clarity and elasticity more effectively and safely than any other injection procedure.
Two products from Estée Lauder's "Perfectionist" skincare line now contain a very powerful moisturizer. The company's own tests have shown that skin care products containing hyaluronic acid can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by up to 50%. According to Estée Lauder, the exclusive complex reduces fine lines and at the same time improves the suspension of the skin. After using the products for a few weeks, the deep vertical lines give way to soft, sensual skin and beautiful lips.
