Navicular Syndrome Different Symptoms And Treatments

By Shirley Brown

Many people who own a horse has been suffering and encountering a very severe and known sickness that this creature could be feeling. They have had a hard time knowing what could have caused it and how can they cure such disease. But as years passed by many have already known and discovered the Navicular Disease Treatments and its symptoms.

There is a navicular bone somewhere near the hoofs of horses. These are mainly covered by other tissues and muscles in the region. It is said that it bares a complexity of its structure but many functions that has been discovered contains a very helpful thing.

One of the functions of that bone is to provide something that can help the flexor tendon to glide so that it can switch to another angle. It is mainly for the other bone located in the area to move as well. So that the hoof of that horse will as well move to the direction that it wanted.

Navicular syndrome is acquired once the horse is working harder but is acquiring less rest. The owners are advised to avoid having theirs to so much work, less heavy the work they give to them, the lesser chance they will have such disease. The pain that the creature will feel will be so painful and they might not perform the way they had before getting the disease.

Pathology has conducted research to find out symptoms that could lead to harder and larger complications. They have made an examination on what other things these horses can suffer before endures from such pain. Using all the necessary tools that they can be needed to help them in their research.

If you notice an unusual increase in their vascular channels, they already suffer from this disease. When changes occur in their ligaments, it also is another indication. On that part, various cysts will also occur and take place. Fractures will also begin to form that would most probably cause the problem to arise.

If your animal has this or any of these symptoms, you need to take it to a vet so that you know what else you can do to prevent further complications. The veterinarian will then be examining it with the necessary tools he will be using. He would give you options to help the condition that your horse is having.

Shoeing treatment is what can be first offered to you. A small pad will be placed on the hoof, this will help in raising the angle of the hoof that will lead to decreasing the tension that is happening inside. This will make the colliding lesser and avoiding inflammation in it.

Surgical treatment will be the last option the vet can offer. This is recommended to just be done only once because if this is done repeatedly it can put the life of the horse to be placed at stake at any time. Many have already proven, those that have taken the treatment, this treatment to be very effective, although it is known only last temporarily, but never should be done twice.
